Our Principal Dentist
DR GARRET ROBLES received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DDM) degree from the University of the Philippines Manila, with a certificate of distinction for placing 1st in the Philippine Dental Board Examinations in 2001. The following year, he pursued Postgraduate Training in Clinical Paediatric Dentistry at the Philippine Children's Medical Centre - the Philippines' lead Department of Health Specialist Children's Hospital. Dr Robles had the opportunity to teach at both institutions as a Clinical Assistant Professor (UP Manila College of Dentistry) and Hospital Staff (paediatric) Dentist.
In 2013, Dr Robles completed his Australian Dental Council (ADC) examinations, allowing him full Australian health practitioner registration as a general dentist. He initially joined a Townsville-based corporate practice and consulted from Fulham Road in Pimlico, but briefly left private practice to teach at James Cook University, initially as a Clinical Supervisor (casual teaching) and later as Senior Lecturer for Clinical Dentistry, and dentist-in-charge of JCUDental in Townsville from 2014-2015 where he supervised and assessed final year students in clinical placement.
Dr Garret is now on his 20th year of private practice ownership since university graduation. To constantly update his knowledge and skills, he has completed a mini residency in prosthodontics (dental implants) and regularly attends dental society meetings in paediatric dentistry and special needs dentistry.
As an ongoing project, Garret and his wife Mary Ann, continue to innovate MYTOOTHDOCTOR's delivery of oral health services at residential aged care facilities, remote Queensland schools, and supported accommodations for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high school students, through Project Outback Dental (POD).
POD targets priority populations identified by Australia’s National Oral Health Plan 2015–2024 providing much needed dental services to (1) people who are socially disadvantaged or on low incomes, (2) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, (3) people living in regional and remote Australia, and (4) people with additional and/or specialised health care needs.
For his continued mobile service delivery in North West Queensland, Dr Robles was recipient of the 2018 North Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) Dentist of the Year Award.
Dr Robles is an active member of the Australian Society of Special Care in Dentistry (ASSCID), the Australia and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry (ANZSPD QLD), the International Association for Dental Traumatology and the Australian Dental Association (Qld).
He is also a credentialed Dental Practitioner (Paediatric) at the Townsville Mater Private Hospital, where he performs comprehensive dental rehabilitation and minor oral surgery on children and persons with special needs under a general anaesthetic.

She has also spent a significant amount of time volunteering in Papua New Guinea providing oral health care and education to locals.
Casey enjoys all areas of general dentistry with a particular interest in treating paediatric patients. She also prides herself in providing positive dental experiences for anxious patients to ensure that they feel comfortable and accepted.
